Peer Mentorship

Mentorship is NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR THERAPY!

I created my mentorship program after experiencing first hand, the lack of community and support in the lives of the chronically ill. From my bulimia treatment to my suicide prevention treatment, some of my greatest healing was due to the people I met there, who struggled alongside me.
In therapy, you work with a professional to dive into complicated things like family dynamics or emotional processing skills.
I do not do that, I am not a professional therapist. I am someone who is experienced in the struggle, more akin to a sponsor in AA.
I have trainings and certifications from my time in the non-profit sector. Experience and training in: Conflict resolution, Communication, and teaching life skills.

Each mentorship looks different. From weekly check ins, to text support, we set up the best way for you to feel supported as you take steps in your life toward change and improvement.
I walk alongside you, to help hold you through the hopeless moments. Not to fix, but always to hold.

Frequently I will work with multiple people in a family. Teens will neurofeedback while parents and I discuss communication with teens. As a former "troubled teen" who healed her relationship with her parents, I know the vital piece missing in most cases is a shared emotional language.
We work together to establish ways for you and your family to understand one another, as our experiences are all so uniquely different. Even more so for those of us with diagnoses!
