Emotions effect the physical body. When we grieve, our chest hurts. When we feel angry, our belly becomes like fire. It is not "woo-woo" to think so. My focus in bodywork is to reconnect the brain to all the other surrounding systems, for optimal function, bring healing blood flow to the tissues, and drain lymph. This in turn helps our physical and emotional holdings.

Peer mentoring is not a replacement for therapy. I look at it like a stepping stone or a different kind of support to use alongside therapy. There is some knowledge that cannot be learned from a book. I use my experience as a peer living with addiction and mental health struggles, to walk alongside you or your loved one. No need to justify or explain yourself to me. As someone who has been to the bottom, nothing shocks me. The mind can be dark, but you are not alone.
